Discover Russian Lapland by kayak! This kayaking tour starts not far from Saami village Lovozero in the centre of Kola Peninsula. Following the Voronia river we paddle almost to the Barents Sea.
The stretch of the Voronia River is about 100 km and coming closer to the Barents Sea the river becomes wider and wider. The landscape changes from Pine and Spruce forest into the northern Tundra where only Birches and birch bushes can survive. We will pass many islands in this beautiful waterworld where nobody lives.
During the tour our experienced guide will tell you all about the Russian Northern Tundras and takes care for your delicious meals, mostly cooked on campfires. The overnights will be in tents. You can meet all great variety of the northern nature.

Day 1: Arrival at Murmansk airport and transfer to Monchegorsk city. Check-in and overnight in a hotel. Dinner on your own in a recommended restaurant.
Day 2: After breakfast transfer to Saami village Lovozero with our off-road bus. After visiting the National Saami Museum transfer to the start point of the kayaking tour on the shore of Lovozero Lake in the centre of the Kola Peninsula. Paddling the first stretch between the many islands to the beginning of the Voronia River. Lunch during the day and dinner on the shore of the River. Overnight in tents. Kayaking distance: 20 km.
Day 3 to 5: Every day after a good breakfast we paddle about 20 km with a snack stop on the water, a lunch break (with campfire) on one the many beautiful shores of the river and at the end of the paddling day we make a camp with campfire and have a good dinner. During the tour we can try our luck in fishing. Overnight in tents. Kayaking daily distance: 20 km.
Day 6: Breakfast. Today we are going to finish our trip in the Northern part of Kola Peninsula. Our off-road bus is waiting on the shore close to a big dam of a hydro electricity station. Transfer to Murmansk and check-in at a hotel. Dinner on your own. Kayaking distance: 20 km.
Day 7: Breakfast in the hotel. Departure.
